House Update!

Hello everyone! Hope your Christmas was WONDERFUL!! Today is my "Friday". I have the next 4 days off, not including a few more because we are CLOSING ESCROW on our new home in a few days!!!!

All weve been waiting on is the Appraisal to come back. It came back yesterday, and we are set to sign closing docs within the next day or 2!!! We are SO excited!!!! Our lender said "start packing!" and I have no idea where to start!

I dont want this blog to be quiet, so im going to be posting updates on the move and pictures too.

What a fresh start, right? Starting 2012 in a brand new home. Time to set new goals!

Good Morning!!

Good Morning Everyone! My internal alarm clock was up at 7am on this amazingly dreary Saturday morning (and thats sleeping in) Im a HUGE morning person. Just like my Mom. The moment I wake up, my brain is suddenly filled with thoughts of my pups, coffee, yarn, and limitless possibilities the day brings. Maybe some thrifting, cleaning or creating a brand new product from my endless inspiration journel.

This morning however, its Pinterest. Im getting house decor ideas for our NEW HOUSE! And then, I think Im going to work on a new design for this blog. Yay!

Change is GOOD for the soul, and theres lots of changes going on around here!

House deets: Everything is going SO fast! And SO smooth might I add. The deposit was over nighted to the escrow officer. We locked in our loan at and AMZINGLY LOW interest rate. Our lender Danielle loves us. She said interest rates are at their lowest. She also gave us a $2500 closing cost credit, and the sellers gave us a $5000 closing cost credit, so ALL the closing costs are paid for. Nothing out of pocket! Inspections are done as of yesterday! Not too bad either, only a few thousand worth of repairs that we can do mostly ourselves. Now, all were waiting on is the Appraisal, which is due back on Wednesday. Then all the docs are off to Underwriting and WERE DONE!! Escrow is suppose to close in the first few days into January!! WE. ARE. SO. EXCITED. 

Pinterest is my new best friend. Ive saved a TON of inspiration photos for decor at my new house. Im thinking the walls are going to be a super light grey. We already have white crown molding. Theres going to be one accent wall thats a burst of color (probably a mustardy yellow, or aqua) Muted furniture, with pops of color in the accents, like the pillows, curtains etc. I cannot wait to go to town!

A Chandelier above my kitchen table is a MUST. Ive always loved them. In my house growing up, in the hallway, there was velvet damask black and white wallpaper, with a huge gold funky chandelier. It was so outdated and NOT in at the time (it was a rental house) but looking back on it now, that hallway was awesome! My sister and I used to run, jump up and try to hit the dangling crystals

This room is amazing. Definitely doing a turquoise accent wall in one of the rooms. The vinyl decals and chandelier are perfect

Im really leaning towrds these decals in the livingroom. I think it will make the walls appear taller. Plus, I just love the look.

Ever since Elsie made these fake ttv photos framed in record album frames, I fell in love. I REALLY want to do this.

Starting January 1st, I will be sponsoring one of my favorite blogs. So that means stocking up the shop!! Ive been working on a slew of flower ear warmers, and plain mens beanies.

(these are unfinished, they need to be sewn on and need buttons in the middle!)

And today, I will be sewing some pretty awesome scoodies. Just check out some of this fabric!

I kinda went alittle crazy at the craft store last night :)

Big Changes!!!

Our house hunt has finally ended!!! Friday, we got our offer accepted on an AMAZING house! Meets 100% of our expectations and more. This is IT! Things are happening FAST. Were going to close on 1/10/12!!!! We are ESTATIC!!! It was a foreclosed property. The owner took out over $100k in loans and fixed up the house like he was going to be there for years. Got upside down though, and then lost it. Its a 3 bedroom 2 bath, 1 car carage with a ginormous backyard. It has a master bedroom and attached master bath and walk in closet. Heaven!! The price was AMAZING. Happy New Year to us!

PRIDE

Glamour Damaged. We, 'I', pride ourselves in being original. When I sit down to create a piece, I dont know what im going to create. I put my utensils in front of me, and my materials... And I make what im feeling. It comes from within. Its exactly as a painter would paint a piece of art. My creations are a piece of art. Each item comes from inside myself. I dont look at what others are doing. I look inside myself. Everything I make is original. I wouldnt want it any other way. NOTHING that I make is the like any other piece.

I love knowing where my items are going. Recently, one of my mens beanies went across the United States to New York. Went to Broadway St. to the Stage door of Sister Act. Its kind of exactly what I thought when I was creating it. Just take a look:

Its urban, its fashionable yet grunge. 

I recently just Sold 3 of my Rhyme and Reason puff stitch cowls. They are going to 3 artists that work at 'Painting With A Twist' in Los Angeles as Xmas presents. This is pretty much EXACTLY who I pictured my items going to. It makes me feel good inside. 

I <3 my ART, I love being a TRUE UNIQUE desinger. And I LOVE knowing that my customers love being unqiue and true to themselfs. Thats what runs in Glamour Damaged's blood <3 Just say no to' plain'. Just say no to 'being normal'! Speak out! Free your mind! Be unique, Be YOURSELF!!!
